Giant Tarpon In Florida

Fishing the West Coast of Florida

Fishing the West Coast of Florida has been an attraction for over 100 years, with records of big Tarpon catches going back to the some of the first northern visitors. The many miles of mangroves and flats make for perfect habitat for Redfish, Snook, and Tarpon or the many other fine species of fish native to the Florida West Coast. Giant Tarpon have roamed the coastal flats and bays for possibly millions of years, uniquely adapted to the shallows with the ability to breath in a wide variety of water conditions.

Couple this with an appetite that includes most anything, the weight of an NFL Football player, and a mouth like a bucket, and you have a recipe for disaster on the end of a fishing line. Giant Tarpon tend to jump high, and attempt to sling the hook any way they can. A typical hookup often results in a explosive series of jumps that leaves the beginning angler wondering what just happened, as the Tarpon departs for parts unknown.

This is where our preparation and coaching pay off. We already know what will happen and help you prepare for the strike, and the battle that follows. This is true not only for the Tarpon, but also for our other chosen quarry, the Snook and the Redfish.

Whatever your experience level and fishing interest, we can put you on fish on our Suncoast. Contact us today to arrange your Trophy Fishing Trip.
