Bass Fishing In Central Florida

Bass Fishing. TROPHY Bass Fishing. Sure, you can catch a bass in most of the waters of the United States, and even Hawaii and Japan have some bass fishing waters, but in all the world there is only one place where big trophy bass are really fairly common. Florida.

The bass have always been here, and there are no programs to feed them and make them bigger in Florida. (unlike some other states) Here our bass grow fast and fat, and as evidenced by last year's catch by Dean Rojas with the all time Pro Tournament string over 100 LBS, there are plenty of bass over 10 lbs to be caught. With the advent of catch and release programs and the education of the public to the value of these fish, the population is in better shape now than in recent years.

Central Florida has long been the destination of those looking for a Trophy fishing trip, and on the west coast it is hard to beat Lake Tarpon. Lake Tarpon is home to the Florida state record bass, (depending on whom you ask up at the State), and is formerly the World Record Holder as well. And, if I may point out, this record is not 70 years old like the current World Record! Every year there are some bass in the 16+ lb range caught here in Central Florida.

Long time fishing experts have learned some techniques that work here above all others. While we fish with artificials at times, we have developed methods using big wild shiners and other live bait that allows us to guarantee you will catch your bass or you do not have to pay us!

We will be happy to take you "Slam Fishing " where you can catch a big bass in the morning and a Redfish in the afternoon. Best times for big trophy bass are from October to March, with big bass continuing to feed and chase bait until early June. Contact us today to book your trip for this season.
